Letter from above to above. Mr Scorers's firm is Page and Scorers, 9, New Inn, Strand. 3rd mortgage only obtained 4 months ago 'Geo. told me that he wanted some money for purposes connected with the property' so borrowed £500 from the Hay Building Society. Endorsement on back of bill was not his writing '[I] asked as to what it referred but I have had no answer..' As he never cashed any cheque or endorsed any, doesn't see how he can be liable.
