    Lease and release, (Lease X811/48). i) John Cooper , Leighton Buzzard, gentleman, and wife, Mary Ann (late Mary Ann Firth, spinster, one of 2 daughters of William Firth, late of Leighton Buzzard, gentleman, deceased, by Leah, his wife) ii) Robert Salmon, Woburn, gentleman iii) John Buttfield, Potsgrove, gentleman consideration - £250 paid to John Cooper, paid by ii) i) release to ii) (in his actual possession by virtue of a lease for a year) -reversion, after death of Leah Firth, the mother of Mary Ann, in --- one undivided moiety of ----- messuage on N side of High Street, Leighton Buzzard formerly in occupation of John Owen Stubbe, and part now made a draper's shop and in occupations of Leah Firth and John Thorpe ----- all outbuildings, yards, gardens, watercourses, etc to be hold by ii) subject to redemption upon payment of £250 on 2 January next covenant to levy fine of the property which by deed of bargain and sale of -- 1804 between i) and iii) were conveyed to iii) for purposes therein mentioned to enure to the use of ii) subject to provisoes for redemption also i) covenant with ii) to pay said £250 and interest. If Leah Firth shall neglect to insure the said messuage for £500, then i) will insure a moiety for £250. If they refuse to do so then ii) shall insure the premises and charge it to i) signatures of i) and iii) endorsed receipt witnesses R A Reddal.
