Map of Salford, Hulcote and Ridgmont
Names agree with land tax for this period. All Salford; 9 acres Hulcote E.; and 74 acres Ridgemont N.W. No title - pencil cartouche not filled in. Surveyor not given ?John Durham. (John Durham of Dunstable, surveyor and auctioneer, was a well known map maker in the early C19 but moved to Old Stratford in 1828 (QSR 1828/816) He apparently founded the firm of estate agents, surveyor, etc. Messrs. Durham, Gotto & Samuelof Stony Stratford, Bucks. Nos. 323/1-3 & 5-6 appear tie up with him.) Lessees but no close names given. Watercolour on paper: 20" x 36": 13.3" to one mile.
