.Lease and release and assignment i) Robert Palgrave, Bedford, druggist; Thomas Wakefield, Grantham, Lincs.,innholder (trustee for Robert Palgrave) ii) Joseph Margetts Pierson, Hitchin, Herts, gentleman iii) Edward Turner Palmer, Bedford, draper term of 1000 years granted to Elizabeth Benson and of 1000 years in other part of said premises granted to William Coles have now become legally vested in ii) Also there is now owing to ii) £500, all interest having been paid iii) has agreed to purchase premises for £700, out of which the £500 owing to ii) is to be discharged now in consideration of £500 to ii) paid by iii) and £200 paid to Robert Palgrave by iii) (total - £700) i) release to iii) - messuage in Bedford High Street, now in occupation of iii) - piece garden ground messuage formerly divided into 3, but now 2 tenements of Edward Wildman and widow Kent Also in consideration of the said £500 paid by iii) to ii) ii) at request of Robert Palgrave surrenders to iii) - said messuages etc for remainder of said terms of 1000 years and 1000 years to intent that they may be merged and extinguished in the inheritance of the same messuages intended to be vested in iii) signatures of i) and ii) endorsed receipts witnesses Thos Kidman; Grace Stuathorp; Jos Margts Pierson, junr.
