    Lease and release i)John Savill, Bedford, draper, and wife Sarah ii) John Fowkes, Bedford, draper consideration - £227 10s paid to i) by ii) i) release to ii) - messuage once in occupation of Edward Stockdale and now of John Savill, in Bedford High Street S yard of Richard Savill and wife Mary (late Mary Franklin, spinster) in oocupations of Thomas Mawbury and the Rev Thomas Crowe N messuage hereinafter mentioned E High Street - garden or little piece ground adjoining, now in occupation of John Savill and purchased by him from Mary Sawell - other messuage adjoining, lately in occupation of Anna Frances Hurst, widow, but now of John Savill and Edward Wildman E High Street N messuage of - Adams S said messuage before granted lately purchased by John Savill from Elizabeth Mason and others also i) declare that said previous fine shall enure to use of ii) also i) covenant with ii) that they will levy such further fine before Michaelmas term next unto ii) of all that messuage in the High Street, to use of ii). i) agrees with ii) that neither Edward Stockdale or i) since his decease have done anything to charge or encumber said property except mortgage to Elizabeth Benson and assignment to Thomas Hipwell, and also demise of 10 January 1786 to Rev William Coles of Ampthill, dissenting minister [X 803/29] signatures of i) endorsed receipt witnesses Theed Pearse, Bedford; Wm Stevens, 12, Old Jury, London.
