Mortgage i) Emma Brown, Bedford, widow ii) John Pennefather, Bedford, gardener iii) John Carrington Conquest; Alfred Clare;(both of Bedford, solicitors) reciting deed of 23 June 1885 a) Emma Brown b) Charles Berwick; George Deacon; (executors of will of John Deacon, deceased) by which b) were released by a) from trusts as in deed of 5 June 1874 Certain charges and expenses have been incurred by i) and ii) in connection with deed of appointment of new trustee and above Release and this deed. Said charges are due to iii) and amount to £50 i) and ii) being unable to pay same, have agreed to secure repayment as follows Now i) convenants with iii) to pay on 28 February next the sum of £50 and interest at 5% p.a. Also ii) as trustee by direction of i), conveys to iii) - 2 messuages and shops known as 23 and 25 Midland Road, Bedford,in occupations of Elizabeth Deacon and Elizabeth Deacon [sic], being the premises secondly described in deed of 5 June 1874 If said £50 and interest repaid on 28 February next, then premises reconveyed to i) and ii) mark of i), signature of ii) witness Alfred White, clerk to Messrs Conquest and Clare, solrs, Bedford.
