    Abstract of the Title of Wells and Winch Ltd comprising examined abstracts of (so far as (1 Jan 1962) relates to The Anchor P.H.): (I)Indenture of conveyance 12 Feb 1920 Parties (i)Edward Tertius Purser of 119 Chancery Lane, Co Director, Athol England Clapham of 58 Lombard St., London, stockbroker, and Charles James Veasey of Langley Oxted (Surrey), gent. (ii)Wells and Winch Ltd of The Brewery, Biggleswade. Recitals That Frank Day, late of St. Neots, brewer, being at his death seised in fee simple of the land below made his will dated 8 Aug 1910 appointing ETP, Frederick Eugene Perrin and AEC joint executors. Codicil to the will revoking the appointment of FEP and appointing CJE in his place. Second codicil dated 3 May 1919. Death of FD on 28 June 1919 and probate of the will and codicils in the P.P.R. on 13 August 1919. Contract by (i) as personal representatives of (i) for sale as below. Operative part Conveyance by (i), in consideration of £13,585, to (ii) in fee simple of (inter alia) messuage or public house called the 'Anchor' at Duloe with the yard, gardens, outbuildings and 2 inclosures of land belonging thereto and occupied therewith comprising 1a. 2r. 16p. and then in the occupation of John Allgood as tenant. Acknowledgement by the vendors of (ii)'s right to production of scheduled documents of title viz: - Conveyance dated 1 Sep 1858: John Hill Day and Mary Day (1) and Francis Day (2) - Conveyance dated 12 Oct 1858: same parties - Transfer of Mortgage dated 25 Feb 1873: Matthew Whiting, Henry Whiting, Noel Whiting and Joseph Muskett Yetts (1), Kirkman Daniel Hodgson, Henry Lancelot Holland and Sir John Lubbock (2). - Reconveyance dated 14 June 1877: KDH, HLH and Sir JL (1) and Frank Day (2) - Conveyance dated 21 Dec 1843: Lord George William Russell (1) Francis Duke of Bedford (2), JHD (3) and Beriah Drew (4). - Mortgage dated 22 Apr 1844: JHD (1) and Richard Henshaw Lammer and KDH (2). - Transfer of Mortgage dated 30 Sept 1851: KDH (1), William Davis, William Cotton and Matthew Whiting (2) and JHD (3). (II)Trust Deed made between Wells and Winch 17 Jan 1933 Ltd (1) and Royal Exchange Assurance, present trustees (2) mortgaging all (1)'s freehold lands including the "Anchor" at Duloe valued at £530. (III)Surrender between the parties as in (II) 16 Sep 1938 (IV)Trust Deed between Wells & Winch (1) and 31 May 1938 G F Archdale, R O Shuttleworth and John Bickerton of Hinwick Hall, gent., trustees (2) mortgaging the Company's freehold premises including the "Anchor" valued at £530. (V)Subsequent events (deaths and 3 Feb 1939 - appointments) affecting trusteeship in 26 Oct 1940 (IV) Note:the above calendar to /24 deals only in detail with (I). The abstracts of (II)-(IV) do recite in some detail the Company's stock and share issues , share and estate holdings and securities and Trust Deeds relating to the same.
