    Reciting assignment of 20 October 1855 a) George Bowers, Luton, builder b) said Peter Scrivener c) Richard Stokes - piece of land and premises were assigned to b) for residue of term of 1000 years created by deed of 3 July 1841 to use of b). Reciting also mortgage of 8 July 1856 default has been made in payment of said £100 and interest Now in consideration of £100 paid to i) at direction of ii) by iii) and of further sum of £50 paid by iii) to ii) for remainder of said purchase money i) absolutely and irrevocably directs and appoints - cottage, land etc shall be to use of iii) for residue of 1000 years also i) conveys, and ii) assigns and transfers, to iii) - piece of land in field once called Bailey Field and now New Town in Luton [as before]. - Two cottages lately built thereon by ii), one in occupation of ii) and the other of Robert Farr to hold for residue of terms of 1000 years freed from all equity of redemption under said mortgage Sigs of i) and ii) Endorsed receipts wit Thomas Tomlinson, clerk to William Hunt, solicitor, Luton 7, 9, 11, Chase Street, Luton
