Pencilled letter from Lord Melchett, Colworth House, Sharnbrook, to Lord Luke. `I am only writing to say that I feel that the county ought to take steps to preserve the hounds on lines on which they have been bred for so long.' Thinks the County should form a Hound Committee. Otherwise Oakley could be reduced to a scratch pack `and this would be a real calamity'
