Certificate giving date of baptism of James Robert Beagley in October 1901 at Holy Trinity Church, Bedford confirmed at Bedford Grammar School Chapel on 30 March 1916 and made his first communion at St Peter de Merton, Bedford, on 2nd April 1916. Certificate signed by Percy G Langdon James Robert Beagley was baptised on 27 October 1901 at Holy Trinity Church, the son of Albert (tailor) and Flora, Ellesmere Lodge, 50, Bushmead Avenue, Bedford. This certificate was found in the house of a firm of doctors in Thatcham near Newbury by Lt Commdr D R[on] Lewis [at Bedford Modern School, 1933 - 1939, died 1987]. He handed it to his wife, Margaret [nee Hine] who sent it to her brother, David Hine, M C [OBM 1927 - 1936] of 'Driftwood', 5, Old Mill Lane, Temple, Nr Marlow, Bucks., who sent it to Geoff Nicholls of 76, Newnham Avenue, who passed it to Richard Wildman. Derek Smith (OBM) who worked for the firm of Beagleys had heard of a Dr Beagley who lived at Milverton in Somerset
