Mr Boyce stands in the corner of a room holding a cane in his left hand and the back of the chair in which his wife is seated in his right hand. The front of the mount is inscribed 'Mr & Mrs Boyce married August 1855 Photo taken August 1913 for Mabel Whittemore from Mathias Boyce. [Mabel Whittemore was in service with them as an under housemaid in 1911].
