  • Title
    Small folio book, 67 ff.; on front cover "Rudge, Coventry 1822" (Society's no 1) An initial apparently "E"*, has been erased. The watercolour sketches, for the most part are finished, but some are only partly coloured and some are in pencil. The subjects are almost entirely buildings and landscapes; a few figures at end.   • Admin/biog history
    Bradford Rudge seems to have come to Bedford about 1835. He was still living in Goldington Road in 1877 (directory). Edward Rudge was a drawing master at Rugby School, 1830 and 1835 (ex inf. Coventry archivist); and Bradford and Lewis (aged 11 and 10) were entered at the school in 1825.
