Orders occur on mm. 7 & 7d, 8 & 8d, 10-11. Latterly the business is almost entirely court baron (1675, 1677, 1679, 1682, 1684, 1686, 1687, 1688, 1689, 1690, 1692), and even where offences occur they are little more than neglect of suit of court. Note 1683: A shop built on the waste The C15 courts appear to be C16 copies, probably made at the time of the division between John Broughton's sisters, Catherine and Anne (cf. m. 5d). John Broughton died 1530. When Thomas Wentworth died 1791, Anne, one of his 3 sisters, acquired Toddington Manor, and her son Thomas Conolly sold it to John Cooper in 1806, hence the papers below Harlington from 1554 follows the same line of descent.
