Ancient Parish; the Ecclesiastical Parisht probably absorbed Bedford, St Peter Dunstable in 1545. It lost some of its area with the creation of Bedford, St Leonard in 1889 and more area with the creation of Bedford, St Michael & All Angels in 1956. It was abolished and absorbed by Bedford, St Paul in 1975. The church buildings were converted for use as an Archaeology Centre.
