Letter with text as follows: C Company 10th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment Yarnhall Farm, Dovercourt [near Harwich] My Dearest little Nora I am writing a few lines to you and little Gordon to let you know how I am getting on. I hope you are a good little girl and looking after Mother and helping her and mind Gordon for her. I hope I shall soon be home to see you, then we shall be able to go for a tram ride. We have got such a nice dog belonging the regiment, he goes about with us all over, even when we go to church on Sunday morning. We went to the sea last night for a bath, it was a treat, I should liked for you and Gordon to have been with me, it was a treat. Tell Mother I do not think the new quarters will not be so bad after all. We get more work, if anything, we get more Guards at night - we are on tonight. We get better food and a little more of it. I think we shall go down to the range next Friday or Monday. Well Dearest Nora and Gordon, I will conclude with fondest love to you both and to Dearest Mother. Your Ever Loving Father xxxxxxxxxx
