Letter to Alec Trussell, 25 Cowslip Hill, Letchworth, Herts from Alan Pridgeon, 11 Lisburne Avenue, Offerton, Stockport, Cheshire. Apology for taking over a year to write. Can't imagine Alec being a salesman. Asks if he went to Switzerland. He has been to Prestatyn. 15 day 'refresher' was a lark. Went down to Wittering (ear Peterborough). About 30 chaps, 'all good old timers who were perfect gentlemen on arrival and inside 30 minutes became the old familiar predatory scroungers, thick clouds of fag smoke arose, coarse laughter filled the air, blasphemy streamed forth, beer was swilled, all men became single at the wave of a wand - in fact it was the dear old RAF again! Saw a Canadian Sabre squadron at North Luffenham. Their radar was brand new - stupendous micro-wave stuff. Bunce is still single and at Paddington. Hasn't heard from Taffy Edmonds.
