326 Ampthill Road, Bedford. Letter to Alec from his mother. Pleased to hear from him, he seems to have travelled about a lot lately. Feeling better, she thinks she just slipped on an icy patch and banged her head. Girls have gone to Mill Street where they are starting a new Young People's Fellowship, Mr Wassell rang up and told them they were starting tonight. Dad has said several times he bets the Germans have gone further than we know, its very hard for the people that had been liberated to be under their heel again, the terrible things they have done. I think myself our people were just a bit too confident of themselves, those Germans are not done for yet. They have just announced that Admiral Ramsay has been killed in a plane crash, we seem to be losing quite a few of our big men.
