These books comprise two sections. The first - the Syllabus of Work - is a programme of learning for the year divided into the following curriculum areas: Religious Instruction; Arithmetic & Mathematics; Reading; Writing; English; History; Geography; Science & Nature Study; Music; Art; Needlework; Handwork & Craftwork; Physical Training & Organised Games. The second section - the Record of Work - is a weekly summary of lessons conducted in each curricular area. In the front of the book is a Class Time Table.
