Scope and Content
According to the depositor, Earls Court cottages were demolished in around 1937 and a house built on the land by local builder Victor Seymour for Richard Hart's grandparents. The deeds show that three cottages in Finns Lane were demolished in around 1934 in accordance with the Housing Act 1930, and it appears new cottages were erected on the site, although this is not explicitly stated.
Archival history
These deeds were found in the attic of Earls Court House, Toddington, by the son of the late owner. They were passed to Richard Hart, whose grandfather George Hart is mentioned in them. Richard Hart deposited them with BLARS.
