He was 63 on 30th November last. He has always understood that from about 1754 to 1757 his parents lived in Welton, Northants, from where they moved to Harpole, Northants. His mother's maiden name was Mary Oliver. His parents, Mary and Thomas Gibbons, had five sons, John the eldest, Thomas, Joseph, William (this deponent) and Edward, and three daughters, Elizabeth, Mary and Ann. Stephen the youngest child died an infant. He's examined a book in the possession of Joseph Gibbons which contains his father Thomas's handwriting and signature in which Thomas has written the birthdates of each as John Gibbons January 10th 1755 Elizabeth Gibbons July 2nd 1757 Mary Gibbons December 29th 1759 Thomas Gibbons February [blank] 1761 Ann Gibbons December 30th 1764 Joseph Gibbons June [blank] 1767 William Gibbons November 30th 1769 Edward May 1772 William believes John and Elizabeth were baptised at Welton, Mary, Thomas, Ann, Joseph and himself at Harpole. His brother John married Mary Medcraft and they lived first at Chalton, then Fancott, in Toddington. John died in about 1822 and was buried at Tingrith. He left no children. His other brother Thomas married Sarah Daniel and died in about 1814 and was buried at Tingrith. Sarah now lives in Pulloxhill, where Thomas resided when he died. He had no children either. He believes John died possessed of real estate in Pulloxhill, Chalton, Dunstable, Toddington and Welton. Joseph, who now lives in Tingrith, is his heir at law and took possession of the same and has since then been in quiet and peaceful possession. Sworn at Ampthill 19 March 1832 before E. Eagles
