In the event, the GNR declined to either buy Lot 4 or sell Lot 5. Also 2 x A4 sheets of typed notes about Messrs Conder and Son, Auctioneers and Estate Agents, containing details of the deaths of Mr R. F[rederick] Conder in 1895 and his son in 1907, about Brook House, Market Square, Biggleswade where the company had its office; and a brief history of Henry Rutherford, draper of Ednam in Roxburghshire, then of Warwickshire, then Biggleswade, who died in 1907, and his grandson Alan Rutherford Bennett, solicitor with Messrs Chaundler and Son of London Road, Biggleswade, who died 1996.
