    Charter of Edward II granting to Ralph fil Rudulphi fil Ricardi that he and his heirs may have a weekly market on Wednesdays at his manor of Syvelesho (Silsoe) and a fair every year to last two days, viz. the Vigil and the Feast of St. Philip and St. James (30 Apr. and 1st May), unless either market or fair shall be to the harm of neighbouring fairs or markets: with free warren in all demesne lands of the same manor and of Flitton, provided those lands are not with- in the bounds of the King's forest.
