    Grant by William fil, Roberti de Mideltona to Simon de Buelers and Clarice Angaine and their heirs for the homage and service of Simon and for 47 marks of silver, of a virgate of land in Grave(n)hurst, viz, the half virgate which William Drunig held and the half virgate which Richard prepositus (the Steward) held besides the messuage and croft pertaining thereto, in exchange for which he has given them 2 1/2 acres in a field called Linacre, and of the land of Sangerel Mill one acre and a half, and in another field, two acres which John Fat held near Purte Welle, and all the culture beginning near the acre which was Roger Armigeris' towards Heywei with a croft which was Hugh de Bending's to the land of Robert Dispenser and the boundaries there and a croft which was held by Thurgarius, under the garden of Gravenhurst with ditches surrounding it, etc. and nine acres in the hide of Gravehurst in Barndehegis - furlong, which lies near Hafhei and the well of Norwelle and land called Maudechroft; to hold by a rent of 2 sh. for all services except foreign service as much as pertains to a virgate of land.
