Jn Milward, one of exors. of will of Milward (see LJeayes10) recites: Wm Caryngton & w., Agn. & Jn Milward,one of exors. of will Wm Milward of Upper Gravenhurst, combine to stand to arbitrament of i) Jn Gerveys & Wm Halle being chosen for part of Jn Milward & Wm Marham & Jn Manne for part of Mw Caryngton & w., Agn. in actions made before 21 Dec 36 Hen VI (1457) Now: Wm Caryngton & Jn Milward bound to each other in 20 marks by bond dated 21 Dec Arbitrators have decided that: Jn Milward, in full satisfaction of all duties due to Wm & Agnes, by reason of any bequest made by Wm Milward to Agnes is to pay 9 marks in the manner following: 13s 4d on Feast of Purification of Our Lady; 13s 4d. on Feast of St Martin; 13s 4d on next Feast of St Martin and so on from year to year until 9 marks complete To insure payment Jn Milward to be bound to Wm Caryngton in 9 marks Dated: 21 Dec 1457 Two small red seals, one of Wm Marham & one of Jn Manne, being an M surmouned by a Crown on one and a small animal on the other end: 'Obligacions & other old wrytynges of small effect'
