3 June 1882 Dear Mother and Papa, I am sitting up with the support of to [sic] chairs . I am able to right [sic] this letter to you because you must know I have got my splint on. While I was running down by that little shop close by the school I fell down on my knee so I tied it up with my handkerchief and went home and bathed it with water and lay down on the sofer to rest. Minnie put on some blank paper. We think it is only a place with the skin off and no harm done it is not swelled. May I have one of Mrs Wathews kittens a tabby please because our cats have fits. Minnie has gone out this afternoon with Wilfred. This morning Minnie found out that she did not post her letters at the right time she had to post hers at half past six in the evening to you (unfinished).
