My dear P.
Thy account of our dear boy is not quite so bright this morning but I hope he is not seriously worse, perhaps Brother E.[E.C.May] would some time run down & see him.
The Ackworth Quarterly has arrived this morning which I thought thou would be gratified at seeing -
The Monthly Meeting went off yesterday very well it was the smallest I ever remember - we had 12 to dine besides our own family
F. desires his dear love & is about as usual - Children nicely which is a great favour -
Leister [sic] fair is I find either 4th or 5th day, so that my plan as regards Ackworth must be altered -
A basket of Game consisting of 6 partridges & 2 Hares arrived yesterday from Brother Joseph -
W.Claridge has lost a daughter with fever of some kind the second I think -
I hope my dear boy does not forget that papa lives at Ampthill - do give my very dear love to him & say I shall be very glad to hear that he is quite well again
