The cake was very nice and light. Governess H.Adcock and E.Stackhouse have all been poorly with influenza but are all pretty well again now. Last 2nd we had a half-holiday. We have 3 new girls 2 are Germans their names are Elizabeth & Mary Anne Warner the other is Julia Sturge. I suppose you have not heard dear Mamma is very poorly with Influenza. Governess heard from Papa this morning to say that he was obliged to return to Ipswich from London on account of Mamma's being poorly and therefore we are not likely to see him. There are 9 more girls to come back to school Anna Sims is amongst them. W.Littleboy is very ill Governess went to see him this morning. We should be very glad to hear from thee soon to say how you all are and especially Grandmamma who was so poorly when we left Ampthill. When you are sending to Ipswich please not to forget to send the bag & rug to Mamma also the pincushion & needlework. We were very much obliged to thee and Grandmamma for your kindness to us at Ampthill. With dear love to all in which Harriet unites I remain thy affectionate niece Margaret Sims May.
