    Diary of Priscilla May 22 Aug 1831 Bardfield 8th Mo 22nd 8th Mo 22nd Left home with Father in the chaise. passed through Royston & arrived at Joseph Green's staid that evening - next morning set off after breakfast to Bardfield dined there & proceeded to G.Wood [Glazenwood], Uncle Samuel [Curtis] out, Maria at home Father went next morning &c., I staid till the evening & then Alfred & Maria took me to A.Brockways at Braintree, met Henry Smith who took me to Bardfield. 24th The Committee arrived. 25th Meeting morning preparative meeting - 26th M.M. at Thaxted very long & tedious, returned to B. with Catharine in the pony chaise H.S. dined with us - C. & I took a walk in the evening large party to tea yesterday - 27th The Committee all breakfasted here joined by folks from the {Ifield}. After Breakfast John Shewell spoke twice J.D.Alexander twice J.Bucchleugh once H.Smith once, nothing particular the rest of the day - took a walk in the evening with S.S.jun 30 Went with C. & J. to J.Green's to spend the day returned about nine in the evening - 31st C. had the doctor who went away without extracting her tooth - heard from Mother & Nancy - drank tea at the hall 9th Mo 1st Meeting day very wet. 2nd Slavery. Drank tea at S.Smith's 3rd Went a walk to the hop grounds at Finchingfield. - sat a bit with Hannah in the evening.
