Susannah Corder to Priscilla May 19 April 1826 S.N.S. 4/19 My dear Priscilla I am very sorry that by the present opportunity I have not leisure to send thee any worthy reply to thy very kind and truly welcome letter. It gave me sincere pleasure to receive some information respecting thee & to find thou cherished the remembrance of me - thou art often present in my thoughts - which never recur to thee without attendant emotions of affectionate interest - I also feel much obliged by thy valuable present- it is quite too valuable & handsome - I hope thou wilt soon be in town - and that before that time I shall have found out some pupil painter who will take better likenesses than those which I have got I should be very sorry not to have these. Our dear Jane Curtis left us on first day - we miss her much also at S.N.S.[Stoke Newington School] Sarah & Catherine are much to be felt for - their brother is very ill - The prospect of having the pleasure of sending thee a more worthy reply to thy letter soon is a subject of pleasing anticipation to me - were I not hoping to do so I could not send thee this note. We have two new girls Hannah Grubb who sleeps in thy bed & Anna Bell the latter causes me great anxiety - I am my dear Priscilla thy very affectionate friend S.C. Please to remember me to thy mother thy books are justly admired. We intend to send thy album in a few days
