Samuel May junior to Priscilla May 20 Oct 1823 Rochester 10th Mo 20th 1823 Dear Sister I now take up my pen to inform thee and my dear Parents that I am very well in health, and I hope thou art the same. I was very much pleased with the long letter that I received from thee some time back & I should be very much pleased to receive a letter from brother James when he has time. Oswald Foster is very well and desires his love to his father and mother. I should be glad to know how little Lewis is. The boys have often taken a walk lately, as we have had so much sport in the cricket field. Agatha Day desires her love to father and mother; she was here lately; and please to give my dear love to my father and mother and all at home. We have not yet removed to the new house, and it is uncertain when we shall; but they are getting on with the alterations. I remain, Thy affectionate Brother Samuel May. Richd L Weston's love to S May & family. Postmark: ROCHESTER ROCHESTER 29 Samuel May Ampthill Beds Priscilla
