    Declaration of Trust by the Hon Robert Villiers Dillon, a Colonel and Lieutenant in H M Regiment of Royal Artillery, retired, and Harriett Caroline Elizabeth Dillon, his wife. Survivor of them to receive income from monies held jointly, for life. After death 3 x 1/7th parts of capital to son, Charles Henry Dillon. Remainder equally among all other children, who survive them and become 21 or marry with consent of guardians. If no child attains a vested interest then said monies shall form part of estate of survivor Trustee of any child under 21 given various investment powers signatures of both witnesses J Kluge, governess, Wootton House, Bedford J Ward, butler, Wootton House, Bedford Deed made by Gibbons and Arkle, Liverpool Col. the Hon Robert Dillon, who was born on 10 December 1838, was the son of Lord Clonbrock of Galway in Ireland. After joining the Artillery he served in the China War of 1857 (medal with clasp). On his retirement from the army he lived at Wootton House from c. 1888 to 1921 and then at Howbury Hall until his death on 19 April 1923. He was buried at Renhold on 23 April. He had 3 children. His son, Charles Henry, mentioned above, born 1877, was lost in the South African War. His 2 daughters were Hilda May (Mrs Bucknall) and Stella Dillon. His wife survived him.
