    Filby Archive NOTE: X825/1-2 clearly represent strays from the archives of Garrard and Allen of Olney. They are draft papers prepared before a conveyance. They relate to the extensive archive deposited by the firm at the Bedfordshire Record Office. (GA) There are Bedfordshire references in X825/3 to the Williamson family of Campton and to Turvey and to Odell X825/4 is a copy of the original deed for Bedfordshire General Library (& Museum). It gives considerable detail on how the collection was to be administed. The name of the subscribers listed in the deed is also of interest. The original has not been deposited here. The sale catalogue of 1919 relates to the outlying portions of the Thornton estate of St John's Moggerhanger. In common with most Bedfordshire estates the Thorntons sold off a sizeable chunk of their holdings. The will of Albert Green, found in the volume containing the Foundation Deed (see above) is part of the archive because V R Filby was his executor.
