Court, Bedford, on 14 Jul 1845
Will of LP of Shefford, widow, of 28 Oct 1846 appointing her nephew William Gilbert (son of her late sister Elizabeth Gilbert) and her friend George Crouch of Campton, gentleman, as executors; giving certain legacies and directing that the residue of her personalty be converted into money; giving her executors all her real estate and rights upon trust during the life of her sister Hannah Driver to let the realty and from rentals thereof to pay HD 15 p.a. and to invest the residue to accumulate during her liftime and, after HD's decease, upon trust for sale.
Codicil to will of LP of 17 Nov 1846 directing that her sister Emma Ames be paid 15 p.a. from the trust estate and funds and that sale of the realty should be deferred until after the deaths of both HD and EA, the survivor to benefit from the accumulating funds during surivorship.
Codicil to will of LP of 30 Oct 1847 revoking a bequest of 50 to EA but confirming above codicil.
Death of LP on 2 Apr 1848.
Probate of will by GC & WG at Archdeaconry Court, Bedford, 3 Nov 1848.
Statutory Declaration of 31 Dec 1856 by GC that HD, late of Orlingbury (Northants) [annuitant above] had received 15 p.a. since the death of LP and had herself died on 17 May 1850 at Orlingbury and so the annuity had expired.
Statutory declaration of 30 Jan 1857 by WG of St. Paul's Bedford, cordwainer, that EA, widow, late of St. Peter's Bedford, had received 15 p.a. since the death of LP and had herself died on 8 Oct 1855 at St. Peter's and so her annuity had expired.
