    Conveyance from Thomas Craft of Stotfold, smith and Richard Christy late butcher of Stotfold, now miller of Weston, Herts, to James Hide of Stotfold, farmer, for 130, of the following land in fee simple: (a) 2 cottages in Green End Lane otherwise Blacksmith's Lane, Stotfold with a piece of ground inclosed from the Road and belonging thereto which cottages are occupied by Mrs Olley and George Walker, and are bounded by properties of Mr Gayler and now or late of Mr Christy, JH to maintain a boundary fence against the latter. The estate was formerly owned by Edward Saunders, now deceased, then his son and heir at law John Saunders, now deceased [buried Stotfold September 1858], upon whose death intestate it came to Susanna Clark as John's only surviving sister General words includes exception of a 'small barn which the present tenant of lot 9...has permission to remove' Includes declaration by JH barring dower, and covenant by TC and RC to produce scheduled deeds beginning with an Indenture mad between Edward Saunders and William Saunders of the first part, and Roger Irons dated March 1802 Recites the will dated 24 Sep 1858 of Susanna Clark of Stotfold, widow, in which she appointed her kinsman TC and her friend William Hill of Stotfold, gent., as executors, devised to her cousin Elizabeth, the wife of TC, the house in which she then lived and gave the remainder of her realty - including the land above - to her executors upon trust for sale; codicil to the will dated 9 Oct 1868 appointing RC as executor in place of her late friend WH and in place of her cousin Elizabeth Craft, deceased, and giving to Susanna Clark Christy, daughter of RC, the house at Stotfold where she - the testatrix - lived and to Emma, wife of RC, the house then in his - RC's - occupation; death of SC on 28 Nov 1868 and probate of the will and codicil in the Principal Probate Registry on 17 Dec 1868; and that TC/RC acting as trustees for sale caused the realty (not specifically devised) to be put up for sale by auction at Stotfold on 13 May 1869 in 11 lots at which JH became the purchaser of the above land as lot 9 for 130.
