[W2320 suggests that there was a legal action in August 1750 prior to the marriage of Miss Bovey to the future Sir Thomas Alston (d.1759) on 30 Aug 1750. The deeds relating to the property 1610 - 1792 have the reference W2295 - 2360. The Whitbreads, the present owners, purchased the estate in 1786.]
