(ii) John Foukes of Wootton gent, Elizabeth Foukes, spinster, only daughter of John Foukes, William Edwards of Wootton, gent, and George Wagstaffe of Bedford gent and alderman. - The 'Ship', formerly the 'Seven Stars', formerly the 'Falcon', late in the occupation of Thomas Wilkes and George Richardson and now occupied by (i) and Mary Brewer, widow. Messuage of John Crawley, West, messuage late of William Faldo the elder, known by the name of the White Lyon, east, north common street, south river Ouse. To the use of Elizabeth for life & to heirs of her & (i). (i) to pay a further £800 to augment her jointure, and a fictitious action of debt to be entered in C.P's as security for this, which is to be pd. 6 months after d. of (i). (ii) are to pay this to Elizabeth if she has no issue, but if she has, it is to be held in trust for her & to be paid to her children on her death. If Elizabeth dies without issue the judgement in C.P's is to be vacated of record. (i) may lay out the money in land in Bedford, to be held to the same trusts. Witnesses : Fra.
