    Declaration by William Horley, Toddington, Registrar of Births and Deaths He was well acquainted with Thomas Willis, late of Dunstable Street, Toddington, gentleman, who died on 13 March 1846 Crowbush Farm, sold by auction on 8 May last by Richard Carr and William Olney (under will of late John Carr, Greenfield, Flitton, deceased) to John Carr, Toddington, deceased, son of John Carr, deceased, and comprised in Lot 1 in printed particulars at said auction, was formerly property of Thomas Willis, and occupied by William Bolton Freehold pieces of ground at Toddington specifically devised by will of Thomas Willis, deceased, formed no part of property sold to John Carr Crowbush Farm was on 10 January 1857 sold by William Willis and Robert Bell (trustees named in will of Thomas Willis, deceased) to John Carr since deceased. Previously occupied by William Bolton At the time of his decease John Carr also had possession of certain copyhold property adjoining Crowbush Farm on the N. side. Part of this he purchased of devisees of late William George and the remainder of John Gadsden, Chelsea, Linslade, Bucks, cornfactor All John Carr's freehold and copyhold lands were sold in May last. Lot 1 being the freehold portion of the property and lots 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 9, being a portion of the copyhold property adjoining the freehold property on North side were purchased by John Carr, son of John Carr, deceased. For last 20 years he (declarant) has acted as one of the homage at Toddington Manor Court and for 10 years previously one of the Leet jury.
