Beech Hill Council Mixed was created in 1910 and divided into separate boys and girls schools in 1914. In 1966 the Boys and Girls schools were joined to become a mixed comprehensive school. The school closed in 1985.

The logbooks for the Junior Mixed School (1913-1921), the Mixed School (1910-1933 ref: 1993/228/1) and Senior Boys' School (1933-1962 ref: 1993/228/2) are all at Luton Museum
