National School created before 1847, becoming a Board School in 1885; in 1890 infants went to the new Board Infant School which became the Council Infant School in 1903 and closed, children rejoining the main school in 1926; became a County Primary in 1946 and a Lower in 1977; the school closed in 1981, the children going to the newly built Swallowfield Lower School, Aspley Guise
