Letter: J. Lesley, Houghton Regis, to Roger Jacson, esq., Bebington,
Cheshire. Writer is master of the Free School and was appointed
by the late Rev. Simon Jacson in 1773. He would much like to buy
the patronage. He is now 73 and has no fortune to leave his wife
and children and has spent his income very largely on repairs. His
son living at Warrington will call on Jacson. Reference can be
made to the Rev. Mr. Hornby of Winwick. Annual rent of land
belonging to the school is 30.
