Fossey decd. the late father of Edw. Fossey to Edw. Fossey by Feoffment 16 Mar 1653/4 made bet. the said Wm. Fossey decd. and Edw. Fossey - the dovehouse and part of orchard on which it stands as it is now divided from the rest of the orchard in East End of H.R. lately purchased, among other property, of Henry Brandreth gent. - close a meadow calles Lilleys or Lilleys grove by est. 3a. and cl. of arable and hedge-green called Woottons cont. by est. 7a., both of wch lie tog. and abut on common green W and on Hare Lane E - cl. of arable and pasture called Sheepe Cote cl. now divided into 2 closes cont. by est. 6a. abtg on common field called Asthill N and on Washing ditch Pond S la. arable in Asthill field, Sheep cote close W, land of (ii) E, abtg on Tinmead meade S - Little Tinmead by est. 1/2a. - Chantry close, meadow, 3a., land of Mrs. aughn S, Bernard Turney gent. N Morecocks close, meadow, at Thorne, by est. 4a., abtg. on common green S and of (i) N - close of meadow called Stevens' acre, the common lying round it -1/2a. arable in the West field of H.R., the lord's land E, the common there N - Chillifer piece, arable, in South field, 6a. by est. - 5 pieces arable in same field cont. in all 5a. of which two pieces cont. 2a. lie in flg. shooting into Luton way N, a piece cont. 1a. with Luton way on S side, the other two cont. 2a. and shoot into Lygrave path. all of wch lie in H.R. and were purchased by Wm. and Edw. Fossey of Thos. Wallis, Wm. Strainge, Hen. Brandreth and Anthony Hawkins, and are now in ten. Edw. Fossey. Property charged with 30 p.a. to (i) for life, and 20 p.a. for life to w.
