Gibbs, Half Moon St., Piccadilly, oilman Mary Gibbs, Ampthill, spinster, and James Gibbs, Stoke Newington, Mddx., seedsman reciting will of Robt. Gibbs late of Ampthill dated 22 May 1813 by which he left to his wife Mary Gibbs for life, then to son Thos. Thos. Gibbs - freehold mess. in Ampthill where he lived - piece of ground at Ampthill with barn which he lately had in exchange from the Feoffees of Ampthill Charity estate in lieu of an allotment of ground for common rights charged with the payment of 50 each to all his children living at his death, and 50 between his three grandchildren, the chn. of his late son Robt. Gibbs decd., to be paid within 6 mths of death of wife, and reciting that his wife Mary was entitled to a mess. or shed and premises at Ampthill then in the tenure of James Smith which were devised to her by her late father Thos. Carte decd., and if she should not have disposed of these, then on her death they were to be divided equally between such of their children as were living at her death, or absolutely to son Thos. Gibbs charged with 170 to the other children, and reciting codicil revoking legacy to son John Anne Gibbs and the death of testator in 1814, leaving, besides Thos. Gibbs, eight other children, John Anne Gibbs, Anne Forbes, Wm. Gibbs, Cath. the wife of Chas. Jackson, Geo. Gibbs, Chas. Gibbs, Mary Gibbs and James Gibbs, and reciting the death intestate of Mary widow of testator 22 Aug 1814 RELEASE of legacies to Thos. Gibbs of Half Moon St., seedsman.
