that Jn. Pedley late of Caddington Hill esq. was seized in fee
simple of various hereditaments and also copyhold premises and
by his will 19 Aug 1835 devised them to the use of his nephew
Wm. Lee esq. and Chris. Hodgson, Great Deans Yard, Westminster,
esq. on trust to pay income to Pedley's niece, Anne the wife
of Arthur Macnamara, then of Langood Castle, Brecon, esq.,
rem. to use of Arthur Macnamara twin son of Anne and Arthur,
and made a codicil 21 Apr 1836 and died 22 July 1838, the will
being proved P.C.C., William Lee refusing to act as trustee
by deed 30 Apr 1839, and
reciting conveyance 17/18 Sep 1840 bet.

which recites that the residuary estate of Jn. Pedley was
insufficient to pay the whole of the debts, and that Arthur
and John Macnamara, sons of Anne and Arthur, were infants
under the age of 21, and that Anne had also two daughters,
Mary and Elizabeth, both infants, and that an annuity of
300 to (3) and an annuity ot 500 to Wm. Lee were payable,
the settlement was a release by (1) to (2) of all the
freehold land devised by Jn. Pedley to uses (recited);
reciting that in the particulars of the sale Lot 6 was
described as 88a. 2r. 15p. free and 2a. 2r. copyhold land, but
on investigation of the title it has been found that 58a. 1r.
27p. were copyhold of the manor of Caddington, and
reciting enfranchisement as above, and
reciting will and death of Henry Brandeth 28 Jul 1846
CONVEYANCE by (i) to (iii) for 3928 10s 6d (part of the purchase money
of 4028 10s 6d) of
- newly erected messuage or farm house with barn, stable and
outbuildings at Skimpot in Caddington, called Skimpot Farm,
now in the occupation of Wm. Creake
- 2a. swerd beneath the hills in Caddington abtg on Boundway E,
on Chaul End Downs S, with cottage or tent. then built on it
but now converted into the farmhouse above, formerly in the
occ. of Wm. Jackson, and which used to be called Skimpot
- 1a. 1r. 14p. land [bound] once the estate of Eliz. Simons
and conveyed by her to Wm. Beckford 23/24 June 1801
