- Scope and ContentReciting settlement of 30 July 1667 by which he assured to his daughter Alice Brandreth ... all the mess. and lands lately purchased of the Earl of Cleveland in Toddington, Tingrith and Harlington which property he has since sold and disposed of, and therefore that part of the settlement cannot take effect, in recompense for which to dau. Alice 3000, some of which is money from the above sale and has been taken out in bonds in the joint names of testator and dau. Alice and is intended to go towards her marriage portion. The remainder of the sum 1000, is charged on property in a deed of the same date as the will; to wife Alice, rest of moveable goods; to brother Joseph Brandreth 20; to the lame dau. of sister Clarke 10; to Hannah Hawford 10; to friends Wm. Eeles of Flamstead, Herts., gent and to Jn. Fisher of Grays Inn, gent., and to Mr. Geo. Brent 5 each. wife sole executrix. witn. J. Paddon, Henry Brandreth junr. his mark, Thos. Chapman, witn m.
