Handbill "The public are respectfully informed that A Concert will be held on Friday next, October 12th 1849, at the Rose and Crown, Eaton Ford, when Mr H Vanford, will lead a Musical Concert, after the old Virginie style, and accompany himself with several musical instruments, and giving the audience a faithful idea of Negro Life, Characters &c, in conjunction with Mr Adams, whose celebrated Ventriloquism and Gymnastic Performances, &c in general, will enliven the Evening's Amusement, and after a style of a modern Magician, will go through Negro Necromantic Experiments, Legerdemain, Ventriloquism, &c &c'
