N.B. The 7th Battalion served in 54th Brigade, 18th Division throughout its active service from Jul 1915 to May 1918 when it was absorbed into 2nd Battalion, which then moved to 54th Brigade from 89th Brigade, 30th Division. 7th Battalion continued as a reduced cadre training American units until Jul 1918 when it was disbanded
18th Division was composed as follows:
53rd Brigade: 8th Norfolk [disbanded 12 Feb 1918 and divided between 7th and 9th battalions]; 8th Suffolk [disbanded 7 Feb 1918 and divided between 2nd, 4th and 7th battalions]; 10th Essex; 6th Royal Berkshire [disbanded 12 Feb 1918 and divided between 1st, 2nd and 5th battalions, battalion replaced in brigade by 8th Royal Berkshire]]
54th Brigade: 11th Royal Fusiliers; 7th Bedfordshire [2nd Bedfords from 25 May 1918]; 6th Northamptonshire; 12th Middlesex [disbanded 13 Feb 1918]
55th Brigade: 7th Royal West Surrey [Queen's]; 7th East Kent [Buffs]; 8th East Surrey; 7th Royal West Kent [transferred to 53rd Brigade 9 Feb 1918]
