Carter (1 lower room and 1 room over it), occ. Ol. Scott; which rooms are a moiety of sd. messuage and were purchased by Thos. Carter of Robt. Carter, lab., s. & h. of Robt. & w. Sarah, which Sarah was a dau. of Anne, w. of Wm. Scarrett. The other moiety of sd. messuage Thos. Woodward purchased of Jon. Denne, gent., to whom the same was conveyed by heirs of Anne Scarrett, the other dau. & coh. of Anne Scarrett. Witn. Sam. Massey, Edm. Hill, Wm. Weale jr.
