1. query the head of a saint, legend undeciphered; green wax;
2. apparently the seal of the Official: a kneeling figure with hands in attitude of prayer, before the Virgin and Child between three stars, legend undeciphered.
Note to no. 13: the power of testamentary disposition of real estate was in general suspended between the 12th cent. and the statute of 1540. That two such bequests are made in this will seems to suggest that the Prebendal estate was so far a part of the Borough as to bring it under the known exemption, by which burgage tenements could be given by will.
