Pleased that Hugh and Cecil had a happy time together. Comments about the parish living at Harpole, Northamptonshire; worh between £600 and £800. 'That is the sort of stipend we should like for you.' Hugh's racquet is at Turvey, but needs re-stringing. Comments of a book recently read. Afternoo at Box End House with Rupert Allen and his wife. Also there was a Commander Dyer and his wife; they are American and staying for a few months at Biddenham. Commander Dyer is working at Cardington in connection with the big airship being built for th USA. Comments about 'The Grasshoppers' social tennis club.
