Copy of the entry in the baptism register for John Harding, son of Stephen and Sarah Harding, born 21 Dec 1761 and baptised 1 Jan 1762 at Kempston. With note from George Owsley Fenwick, vicar, stating that he has been unable to locate the entry in the marriage register for the marriage of Stephen Harding and Sarah Waterfield 'perhaps it was omitted by a Mr Jennings who was the curate in the years 1757 & 1758 and who is stigmatised by the vicar in the register ... for his 'carelessness and neglect'.
